The next morning, Bart and I got up before 5 so that we could be at Naperville by 8am. Fun. We got fingerprinted for USCIS. I explained to them the trouble I had with my other prints and she assured me you can't really lose your fingerprints but that I had a skin disease that made them worn. I felt like a leper! :) The back of my hands are really dry so I guess it's just eczema. Anyway, I asked if I could get multiple prints and she had to check with a supervisor. These people seem like they want to be helpful, but just can't be too nice about it. :) She came back to tell me that if I wanted another set of prints, I had to take a new number and get in the back of the line. They would then do an ink print. I decided to do it to save me another trip to Chicago. It ended up taking about an hour instead of 10 minutes, but hopefully they took and I'm good. One step closer!

One step closer
This past Friday, my mom and dad came out and brought a new desk for us. (Built by a relative back home in Francesville who makes furniture.) We were up till midnight putting the desk together. Here are some pics.

Your desk looks awesome! Earl did a great job on it!
Wow, that is an awesome desk! Good idea on getting the second set of prints done. One thing that I have learned in this process is it never hurts to have extra copies! See ya on Thursday.
love the desk- can Earl ship oversea? or your parents could just drop off?:)
hope the finger prints are all set and you are 10 steps closer!!!
So funny about the fingerprints. They are quite persnickety up there. When we went, we were seriously the first people there! There was an area to line up so Ben and I went and stood together. The guy barked at us "Sir, stand BEHIND your wife... in the line please." Oh brother. Hope all goes well with the fingerprints!
