I'm not sure how I ever stumbled across Katie's blog, but I've been following her journey for quite a while now. And honestly, I'm not the same person I was before. Oh sure, I look the same and probably still seem the same (although I hope the change is somewhat evident!). But everytime I read a post, my heart knows. This is it. This is Jesus today. What He would have looked like, how he would have responded, what would be important to Him. Suddenly, the Word comes more alive. I'm drug out of my little world in all the abundance and comfort here in America to the dirt roads of Uganda.
Katie is around 20 years old and has started a ministry which cares for approximately 400 children! She is called mother by 13!! She felt the call of God on her life during High School and left everything to be the hands and feet of Jesus. Her ministry is called Amazima. Please consider donating. I'm going to add a little link on my blog on the side or just do it from her blog. And please start reading if you haven't yet. I know you'll be blessed. And praise Jesus, not Katie. She simply said yes.
